PURPOSE: To provide a film cartridge for a camera capable of easily discriminating a display for the photographing completion of a film from a display for the presence of panoramic photographing and trimming photographing and a camera having a mechanism for using the cartridge to form the display of the presence of the panoramic photographing and trimming photographing of the film.

CONSTITUTION: The film cartridge for the camera 1 is equipped with a thin film 6 for displaying loading provided on one end surface of the film cartridge 1 and a thin film 7 for displaying information provided on the other end surface of the film cartridge 1. On the other hand, the camera is equipped with a driving means, a solenoid plunger driven by the driving means, a projection member pressed by the solenoid plunger and moved in a fixed direction and a returning elastic member for returning the projection member to a home position when the pressing action of the solenoid plunger is released.
