PURPOSE: To provide a filter capable of recovering cutting liquid without mixing floatable cut chips and preventing a filter member from being choked.
CONSTITUTION: A filter of cutting liquid comprises a storage tank 4 having an inlet opening 5 for cutting liquid 14 and outlet openings 6 for filtered cutting liquid 12. A cut chip exhaust duct 8 having an opening 7 at its upper part rising from the storage tank 4 diagonally upward is formed in a line with the storage tank 4, and an endless chain conveyer 9 driven by a driving device 10 is formed in the storage tank 4 and the cut chips exhaust duct 8. The outlet openings 6 are formed along a track of the chain conveyer 9, and filter members 11 to filter curled cut chips 13b from cutting liquid 14 are formed at the outlet openings 6. A plurality of plate members 22 are formed on the chain conveyer 9 so as to cross at right angle carrying direction. The plate members 22 scrape curled cut chips 13b stuck to the filter members 11 along with stirring up the chipped cut scraps 13a deposited on the bottom of the storage tank 4 to be exhausted from the opening 7.
