Abstract:
PURPOSE: To measure the temperature of an object correctly without enlarging the size of a radiation thermometer by eliminating the effect of emissivity and performing emissivity correction.
CONSTITUTION: Solid angle of radiation energy radiated from a radiation source 2 onto an object 1 to be measured is varied by a variable means 3. An operating means 5 estimates the value of signal, when the radiation source 2 entirely covers the space above the object 1, based on an output from a radiation detector 4 and then determines emissivity of the object 1 thus operating the temperature thereof.
