Abstract:
PURPOSE: To save the amount of concrete used by preventing or restraining pole reinforcing cages from being twisted.
CONSTITUTION: The upper end of the threaded main reinforcing bar 11 of an already erected lower pole reinforcing cage 10 is connected to the lower end of the threaded main reinforcing bar 21 of an upper pole reinforcing cage 20 by means of coupler nuts 30 and a pair of locknuts 31, 32. During the connecting work, after the upper and lower main reinforcing bars 11, 21 are connected together using the coupler nuts 30, the upper pole reinforcing cage 20 is twisted in the direction opposite to that of fastening of the upper locknut 32 before the upper locknut 32 is tightened with torque.
