Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enlarge the controllable region of generating power while sustaining and enhancing efficiency through the use of a generator equipped with a permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:An engine driven generator 34 comprising an engine 36 and generators 38, 40 equipped with permanent magnets is employed. The engine 36 is coupled with the generators 38, 40 through clutches 42, 44. Magnetomotive force of permanent magnets in the generators 38, 40 is determined by proportionally dividing the maximum power demand of the engine driven generator 38. An ECU 46 operates the generator 38 or 40 selectively depending on the power demand of the engine driven generator 34.
