Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent thermal degradation of a catalyst by judging a dangerous catalyst temperature region from an enriching judging intake air amount corresponding to the number of fuel cut cylinders and rotational frequency of an engine to correct the number of fuel cut cylinder for preventing the catalyst from exothermic reaction when enriching judging information is inputted. CONSTITUTION:An output regulating amount calculating means calculates a necessary torque decrement from a torque deviation of presumed torque of a presumed torque calculating means from desired engine torque of a desired engine torque calculating means. A means for calculating the number of fuel cut cylinders calculates the number of fuel cut cylinders corresponding to the necessary torque decrement. An enriching judging means judges a dangerous catalyst temperature region from an enriching judging intake air amount corresponding to the number of fuel cylinders and rotational frequency of an engine. A means for correcting the number of fuel cut cylinder corrects the number of fuel cut cylinders when enriching judging information is inputted so that the catalyst can be prevented from exothermic reaction. Thus, an engine output controlling means can control a fuel injection controlling means according to the corrected number of fuel cut cylinders so that the catalyst temperature is controlled not to enter the dangerous region.
