PURPOSE: To ensure a sufficient space factor without making large a motor in the radial direction and to obtain a hybrid stepping motor with polyphase in excess of five phase.

CONSTITUTION: A first rotor 34 corresponding to a first stator 36 is separated from second rotor 44 corresponding to a second stator 46, and they are fixed to a rotor shaft. The second stator 46 is fixed in a state to shift by 18° and 36° against the first stator 36 in the direction of the rotation of the first stator 34. Accordingly, a sufficient space factor can be ensured without making large a motor in the radial direction, and the number of phases can be increased from 5 to 10. According to the constitution, a minimum resolution is also made twice.
