PURPOSE: To provide a camera having a simplified program rewritable device.
CONSTITUTION: This camera is provided with a first control means for controlling a camera sequence in accordance with control instructions coded and stored in a first unrewritable storage circuit 26 and a second rewritable storage circuit 27 respectively, a connecting terminal for peripheral equipment for making the contents of the second storage circuit 27 rewritable by the peripheral equipment outside the camera and a second control means for replacing a new control instruction transmitted from the peripheral equipment connected to the connecting terminal with the control instruction which has already been stored in the second storage circuit 27, in accordance with the control instruction stored in the first storage circuit 26.
