PURPOSE: In preparing a polyurethane polymer using a blocked isocyanate compound and an active hydrogen-containing compound as bases, to obtain the polymer at relatively low baking temperature, by adding both an organotin compound and a specific compound containing nitrogen to the reaction mixture.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A blocked isocyanate compound (an addition product of a polyisocyanate compound with an isocyanate blocking agent such as phenol, etc.) is reacted with (B) an active hydrogen-containing compound (e.g., polyether polyol, etc.) in the presence of (C) one or more of a dialkyltin compound, diaryltin compound, monoalkyltin compound, and monoaryltin compound, and (D) one or more of a morpholine compound (e.g., N-methylmorpholine, etc.), piperidine compound (e.g., N-ethyl-3-hydroxypiperidine, etc.) or an alkanolamine compound (e.g., ethanolamine, etc.) shown by the formula (R is H, 1W4C alkyl, etc.; n is 1W8), to give the desired polymer.
USE: A coating compound.
