Title:
THREE LAYER-COATED STEEL HAVING HIGH CORROSION RESISTANCE AND HEAT RESISTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0813161
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an electroplated steel excellent in corrosion resistance and heat resistance by applying the surface of an iron steel with an Sn-Zn alloy layer, a Zn layer and a Zn Ni alloy layer in succession and furthermore applying the uppermost layer with chromating treatment.

CONSTITUTION: The surface of an iron steel is applied with Sn-Zn alloy electroplating as a primary layer, electrogalvanizing as a secondary layer and a Zn-Ni alloy electroplating as a third layer in succession, and furthermore, the uppermost layer is applied with chromating treatment. As for the Sn-Zn alloy plating layer, preferably, a plating bath of about 30g/l Sn and about 2.5g/l is used, and its thickness is regulated to about 4 to 6μm. The thickness of the Zn layer is preferably regulated to about 5 to 10μm. The thickness of the Zn-Ni alloy layer is preferably regulated to about 4 to 6μm with a ratio of Zn:Ni= about 94:6.
