Abstract:
PURPOSE:To adjust the correction of only a desired hue without giving effect on the hue with simple configuration by extracting a hue range of a correction object as a color difference signal, generating a rotation quantity to rotate the hue on a color difference plane as a hue range as a correction signal from the color difference signal and adding the generated signal to the original color difference signal. CONSTITUTION:An equipment 1 is provided with slice circuits 5, 11 receiving color difference signals R-Y, B-Y respectively and the signal B-Y is inverted by a polarity inversion circuit 9 and inputted to the circuit 11. A signal below the black level of the color difference signals R-Y, B-Y is cut off by the slice circuits 5, 11 and the result is inputted to a comparison computing element 7 and a signal of a minimum level in the output signal of the slice circuits 5, 11 is outputted, The gain of the output signal is adjusted by a variable amplifier 3 (inverting output) and added to the original color difference B-Y by an adder 15. Thus, hue correction is implemented without giving effect on a hue not belonging to the hue range specified by the color difference signal B-Y.
