PURPOSE: To provide a paper feeding device capable of reducing the diameter of a transferring drum to be stuck with plural paper sheet, and making it high in speed without reducing the speed in transportation.

CONSTITUTION: The paper feeding device is provided with a pickup roller 6 for feeding the paper sheet, a feeding roller 4 and a resists roller 3 for transporting the feeding paper sheet, an attracting roller 2 for attracting the transported paper sheet to the transferring drum 1 capable of fitting two paper sheet arranged in the peripheral direction, and a controlling means 5 for controlling the speed of the pickup roller 6, the feeding roller 4 and the resist roller 3, the attracting roller 2, and the transferring drum 1 so as to attracted the distance between the paper sheets on the transferring drum 1 shorter than the distance between the paper sheets in feeding by the pickup roller 6 and in the transportation of the paper sheet by the feeding roller 4 and the resist roller 3.
