Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R1 and R2 are lower alkyl).
EXAMPLE: 3-Acetoxy-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,5-benzothiazepin-4(5H)-one.
USE: An intermediate for synthesizing drugs. Useful as an intermediate for synthesizing a 3-lower alkanoyloxy-5-[2-(dimethyl-amino)ethyl]-2-(4-lower alkoxyphenyl)-1,5-benzothiazepin-4(5H)-one having an inhibitory action on blood platelet aggregation.
PREPARATION: A benzothiazepine derivative shown by the formula II is reacted with a reactive derivative of a carboxylic acid shown by the formula R2COOH in the presence of a sulfoxide compound shown by the formula (R3)2SO(R3 is lower alkyl), to give a compound shown by the formula I .
