PURPOSE: To obtain a high-pass filter with simple constitution and small dimensions which does not reflect low frequency by providing high-pass wave-guides to be of interrupting areas for low frequency so as to be separated to each other by 1/4 wavelength or its odd times.
CONSTITUTION: High and low frequency components inputted from an input terminal 1 are divided by waveguides 11a, 11b at the same phase and the same amplitude and led into high-pass waveguides 12a, 12b respectively. Since the dimension 9 of a section (H face) of the waveguides 12a, 12b is selected so that the waveguides 12a, 12b are of interrupting areas for low frequency and the waveguides 12a, 12b are arranged so that a position from a resistor board 14 is shifted by the length 8 of 1/4 wavelength of the waveguides or its odd times, the low frequency reflected by the waveguides 12a, 12b reaches a resistor board 14 fitted between the waveguides 11a, 11b with different phases by 180° to each other at the same amplitude and current is generated along the resistor board 14. Namely, the low frequency is absorbed into the resistor board 14 and is not returned to the input terminal 1. Thus, a high-pass filter with simple constitution and small dimentions is obtained without reflecting low frequency.
