PURPOSE: To provide a gas bushing in which the potential distribution of an insulator base part can be improved, and the structure also can be simplified excluding a file control external shield.
CONSTITUTION: The head side top end part of a field control internal shield 3 is curved to the outside with a prescribed radius to form a head field control part 3A situated near the back surface, and a lower field control part 3B is formed in a part situated lower than the head field control part 3A and situated upper than the head part of a flange 4. The lower field control part 3B has a ring form having a semicircular section to enclose a central conductor 2. The lower field control part 3B is manufactured separately from the filed control internal shield 3 and then integrated thereto by welding the both to each other, and protruded on the flange side 4 over the head field control part 3A.
