Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a miniaturized and inexpensive and can be easily handled electronic calculator which has a unit converting function, by printing the unit conversion calculation with a limit set down to a printable number of digits. CONSTITUTION:A normal calculation uses 10 digits, and (1) is registered with a unit conversion calculation. Then a conversion indicating key ( ) and then a numeric key 7 are operated, and therefore a converting operation of (in cm) is carried out. Thus (2) and (54) are printed in a display column; while the unit marks, the numeric data and a minus code are printed to the 1-4th digits, the 5-13th digits and the 14th digits respectively of a print column. First, the 10- digit numeric data having an integer part of <=8 digits is supplied with an operation of the key 7, and the lower 2 digits are deleted with an operation of the key ( ). Thus the 8-digit data is obtained. Then an X key is operated to display 4 digits of a unit symbol and 8 digits of numeric data. If the integer part of the numeric data has >=8 digits, an error is displayed at a display part D with an operation of the key ( ).
