Title:
SELECTIVE PRODUCTION OF LPG FROM PENTANE FRACTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6032887
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To selectively produce LPG such as propane, butane, etc., by catalytic decomposition of a pentane-contg. hydrocarbon oil in the presence of a specific acid-type crystalline aluminosilicate.

CONSTITUTION: The objective LPG can be obtained by performing a catalytic decomposition of (A) a light hydrocarbon fraction containing pref. ≥50wt% of n-pentane plus i-pentane (B) in the presence of an acid-type crystalline aluminosilicate of solid acidicity with the ratio of silica to alumina ≥12 and peak pyridine elimination temperature ≥650°C with rising temperature, normally under the following conditions: (i) temperature: 200W350°C (ii) pressure: 1W30kg/cm2G (iii) LHSV: 0.01W100h-1 (iv) gas feed (the molar ratio of gas to raw oil): 0W500.
