Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform proper retrieval by a data user by using an index by generating the index for retrieving the data at the time of registering new data, and distributing a data guidance notice to each work station based on the index. CONSTITUTION:Unitary management on the data is performed at a host computer, and when the data from a data manager is registered, the index for the retrieval of the data and simultaneously the guidance notice of the data are generated automatically, and the guidance notice is distributed to the work station of the data user. Thereby, since the job of the data manager is limited to the one only to perform data registration, the mission of generation and distribution of the guidance notice and the generating work of the index can be eliminated, and the retrieval of the data is performed by the data user by utilizing the content of a distributed guidance notice at the time of retrieving the data by the work station.
