PURPOSE: To prevent the equipment from being left while its operation is stopped on its way by reading one by one page of an original picture sequentially, storing the picture to a picture memory, inputting a destination when the picture storage is normally finished and transmitting the picture to the destination.

CONSTITUTION: A transmission original is set to a scanner 1, which reads the original picture one by one page each sequentially and the picture is stored in a picture memory 4. The operator confirms the end of the picture storage and inputs a transmission destination. Every time the transmission destination and a transmission time are inputted, the input information is stored and when the end operation is implemented, the stored picture and the destination information or the like are managed as a transmission file with respect to a facsimile layer. Then in the case of the occurrence-of original jamming or a deficient capacity of the memory 4 or the like, the facsimile equipment stops reading and storage. Thus, the operator cannot execute succeeding input operations and finds out the operation stop without fail. Thus, it is prevented that the equipment is left while its operation is stopped.
