Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an optical recognition device capable of performing a recognition processing at a high speed by using a matched filter and having a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:In an optical recognition device recognizing an optical pattern of an input image, an image rotator 8 rotating the picture of an input image around an optical axis and a transforming means 4 for optically performing Fourier transform for the rotated input image and a filter means 5 having a characteristic extraction function for the input image after the optical Fourier transform was performed are provided and an optical pattern of the input image is recognied based on the output image obtained through the filter means 5. Further, an optical signal conversion means receiving the output image as an optical signal and coding in a prescribed from and an optical neural network performing an associative conversion for the output of this optical signal conversion means to an arbitrary pattern are provided.
