PURPOSE: To reduce consumption of electric power and maintain pulse current constant in a discharge processing device connecting a d.c. power source and a discharge processing gap through resistances and switching elements by operating said elements in an unsaturated sphere.

CONSTITUTION: A d.c. power source 5 for a processing power source is connected to a processing electrode 4 and a work 1 through resistances 6-1...6-n junction transistors 7-1...7-n both connected in series. The resistances 6-1...6-n portect the a.c. power source 5 in case of trouble with any of the junction transistors 7-1... 7-n. Predetermined pulse current is impressed between the processing electrode 4 and the work 1 through applying predetermined voltage between base emitters of junction transistors 7-1...7-n by means of switches 10-1...10-n selected by a pulse of a pulse generator 11 through potentiometers 9-1...9-n. An enhancement type field effect transistor is utilizable as switching elements 7-1...7-n.
