Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform refreshing operation only in the case of necessity by outputting a refresh request signal when shallow discharge of a discharge depth is repeated specific times. CONSTITUTION:The power source with a refresh requesting function comprises a resistor 2 connected in series with a nickel-cadmium battery 1, and a reference voltage generator 4 having a voltage level substantially equal to a voltage level to be output from the battery 1 when the discharge amount is sufficiently large. Count signals of high and low levels at both ends of the resistor 2 are output from a comparator 5 for comparing voltage levels of both ends of the resistor 2, and when charge/discharge are repeated three times by a counter 6, a refresh request signal is output from a warning circuit 7 through an AND gate 11 of an output side of the counter 6. Further, when the battery 1 is discharged with a large discharge depth, the positive electrode side of the battery 1 is compared with the output of the generator 4 by a comparator 3, a reset signal is applied to the counter 6 to be reset, and when the request signal is output, it is cut off.
