PURPOSE: To provide a device for multilayer simultaneous coating and method thereof capable of obtaining an uniform coating surface free from mottle and interlayer mixing caused by waving on a slide surface even after simultaneously coating into layers of ≥8 and high in productivity.
CONSTITUTION: In producing photosensitive material for simultaneously coating into ≥8 layers on a supporting body 10 continuously traveling with a slide bead coating device or a curtain coating device having a slide surface, the coating device for the color photosensitive material is 40mm in the distance between slits 4 in which a coating solution 13, 14 flows down and in the vicinity of the slide surface 5 and the coating method of the color photosensitive material uses the coating device and the coating solution 13, 14 ≥20cp in arithmetical mean of the viscosity of each layer except the outermost layers.
