Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a wheelchair to be smoothly stopped even when a main switch is turned off during running.
CONSTITUTION: A motor 21 is coupled with a running wheel through a worm gear-type reduction gear, and is connected to a main switch through a controller 19. The controller 19 is so constituted as to gradually reduce the frequency of rotation of a motor 21 when the main switch is operated to be off, and finally to stop it. Even in the case where the worm gear-type reduction gear is used, the wheelchair can smoothly be stopped when the main switch is turned off during running.
