Abstract:
PURPOSE:To speed up switching operation by providing a driving means which generates a 1st bias in synchronism with frames of signal light and also generates a 2nd bias in synchronism with output destination information on a specific position of an address part. CONSTITUTION:When the signal light is inputted to an input signal branch circuit 10, this signal light is outputted to a distribution switch circuit 14 through a 1st output 200 and to a switch driving circuit 12 through a 2nd output 202. When the signal light is inputted to the switch driving circuit 12, a driving circuit 24 is driven with this signal light to outputs the 1st bias to all frames of the signal light and the 2nd bias to the output destination information on the specific position of the address part of the signal line synchronously. The switch driving circuit 12 sends a control output for switching control to the distribution switch circuit 14 with the output destination information on the address part applied with the 2nd bias. The distribution switch circuit 14 performs control according to the control output and the input signal light is outputted to a 3rd output 242 or 4th output 244. Consequently, the operation of the self-routing optical switch is speeded up.
