Title:
WATER-COOLED BREAKER AND REMOVING METHOD FOR OIL-CAN FROM FLASH SMELTING FURNACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS589945
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily remove oil-can accumulated on the uptake of an flash smelting furnace for copper while saving man power without requiring skill by using a water-cooled breaker.

CONSTITUTION: When heat of hot water gas generated in a flash smelting furnace for copper is recovered with a boiler, oil-cans grown on the uptake of the exhaust port of the furnace by the accumulation of ore dust, and the waste gas permeability is reduced, resulting in a lower rate of operation of the furnace. To remove the oil-cans a water-cooled rod 24 repeatedly hits on the oil-cans 21. By working the 3rd hydraulic cylinder 20 and a pneumatic cylinder 22, the force of an impact hammer is provided to the rod 24. The rod 24 can be brought into contact with the position of the oil-cans 21 on the uptake 2 at a suitable angle by horizontal movement by a hydraulic cylinder 14 on a carriage 8 and rotation by the 2nd hydraulic cylinder 16. Thus, the oil-cans can be easily removed without using fuel such as heavy oil.
