Abstract:
PURPOSE:To quickly operate a change lever and to give moderation to a driver by providing an air shaft unit only for transmitting and cutting off power between an input shaft and a countershaft and by manually operating the other shift selection. CONSTITUTION:In case of changing a gear, a change lever 9 is located at a neutral position. When the condition is detected by a neutral switch, an air shift unit 6 is operated, and the first synchro-mechanism 5 is operated to intercept power transmission. If in such a condition, the change lever 9 is operated to operate the second synchro-mechanism 8 on an output shaft 7 for a gear change, the change lever 9 can be operated lightly because it is not influenced by the force of inertia of an input shaft 2 and a clutch disc after a clutch is disengaged, and besides, a driver can conduct a gear change with moderation.
