Abstract:

PURPOSE: To surely detect the activation state in the furnace in early time by using the variation of heat flux as an index.

CONSTITUTION: A probe 30 provided with plural heat flux sensors 311, 312, 313...31n is inserted from a tuyere 11 into the blast furnace 10 during operation. At the time of bringing drips 21 of the molten slag and molten iron, etc., into contact with the probe 30, the increase of the heat flux is sensed by the heat flux sensors 311, 312, 313...31n. The sensed heat flux is measured as the heat flux value by the heat flux meter 33 and recorded to a record arithmetic device 34. The variation of the heat flux is the index surely showing the activation state in the furnace core in the early time. Therefore, the necessary operational action can timely be performed at the initial stage of deactivation, and the deactivation in the furnace core is avoided.
