Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an open sanitary unit for a dog or a cat allowing an animal to excrete on a residual matter renewed after washing. CONSTITUTION: The sanitary unit for a dog or a cat includes a substantially flat and horizontal part 2 on which the animal is positioned, a vertical part 3 integrated with the horizontal part, a flushing device connected with a water supply part 10 and a waste water discharging device 13, a residual matter tank 6, an engaging and distributing device for placing the residual matter on the horizontal part and at least one cells 4 and 5 detecting the animal existing on the horizontal part and controlling flushing and the re-installing sequence of the residual matter when the animal leaves the horizontal part. Then the flushing device is composed of a sprinkler 9 at the bottom part of the vertical part and the draining device of waste water is a siphon type including an additional entrance for water for flushing at the place of the lower tip part of siphon.
