PURPOSE: To obtain a small-sized, lightweight device of a simple structure and to improve productivity, by forming a supporting body made of electric conductor which holds a heating resistor and also connects electrically the heating resistor and a driving circuit together with a case made of synthetic resin in one body.
CONSTITUTION: The case 48 of a module 47 is made of thermoplastic resin superior in heat resistance. Metallic pins 49W52 and metallic terminals 53W56 welded to those pins 49W52 are formed together with the case 48 in one body. The pins 49W52 and terminals 53W56 hold a hot wire 1 and a cold wire 2 arranged in a by-pass passage 106, and also connect electrically the hot wire 1 and cold wire 2, and a hybrid IC constituting the driving circuit part of the module 47. Consequently, the heating coil type air flow meter of small-sized, lightweight constitution superior in heat resistance and productivity is obtained.
