Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a desired picture output regardless of overflow of an image sensor.
CONSTITUTION: This image reader is provided with a detecting part 110, a discriminating part 115, a selecting part 113, etc., which substitute the picture signal, which is obtained at the time when the overflow signal is in the high level, with prescribed set picture data or normal picture data adjacent to the overflow area to correct the picture signal synchronously with the overflow signal which is outputted from an image sensor 104 at the time of overflow of the image sensor.
