PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a material based on a doped intermetallic compound.
CONSTITUTION: At least two differently doped powders based on the intermediate compound, one predominantly formed of coarse-grained particles and another formed of comparatively fine-grained particles. which are composed of a material having a lower creep strength but a higher ductility than the powder material of the coarse-grained particles. are selected. The at least two powders are mixed with one another in a ratio serving to be adjusted to a desired mixed microstructure and are heat-treated prior to the hot compression. The material produced by this method is suitable for members which are exposed to high mechanical loads at a high temp. such as, in particular, gas-turbine blades or turbine wheels of turbo chargers.
