PURPOSE: To feed surely one by one sheet of plywood by a structure wherein a charging hook for feeding plywood, the rear end of the holding piece of which hooks the rear end of the uppermost sheet of plywood, and a stopper, which lies at the level a little bit below and ahead of the uppermost sheet of plywood in order to check the feeding of the uppermost sheet of plywood but one, are provided.
CONSTITUTION: Firstly, the charging hook 4 is lowered in order to press down the uppermost sheet of plywood 1 so as to correct its warp by means of the holding piece 2. Secondly, the hook 4 is forwarded so that the pawl piece 3 hooks the rear end of the uppermost sheet of plywood 1 in order to feed until its front end is charged to a driving pinch roll 7. Thirdly, after that, the hook 4 is raised and finally retreated to the original position. On the other hand, the stopper 5 is provided ahead of piled-up sheets of plywood 1 and the plate thickness of the stopper 5 is about twice that of a sheet of plywood and the end surface of the stopper 5 opposing to the plywood 1 is beveled at an angle of 75°. The space d between the fixed roll 7a and the moving roll 7b of the driving pinch roll 7 is set to be equal to the thickness t of a sheet of plywood and the space between the fixed roll 7 and the stopper 5 is set to be equal to 1.2t. Accordingly, the feeding of the uppermost sheet of plywood but one is surely checked. Furthermore, when the uppermost sheet is fed, the whole pile of plywood 1 is raised by the amount of the thicknes t of one sheet of plywood.
