Abstract:
PURPOSE:To manufacture a bottle with an inclined cap section by inserting an orienting rod with curvature radius same as the circumference into a cap section of a parison along the circumference with radius R in contact with a center axis of the parison in the vicinity and of the cap section and carrying out biaxially oriented blow molding. CONSTITUTION:A bottom 1 consists of a rectangular body section 2, a cap section 3 and a shoulder section 4 connecting the body section 2 and the cap section 3, and the center line A of the cap section 3 is inclined to the center line B of the body section 2 by an angle theta. A closed-end cylindrical parison 26 with the cap section 3 and a collar-shaped flange 32 is manufactured in order to manufacture said bottle 1, and an orienting rod 17 with curvature radius same as the circumference is inserted into the cap section 3 along the circumference of radius R in contact with the center axis of said parison 32 in the vicinity of the cap section, and biaxially oriented blow molding is carried out in a blow molding die with a rectangular cavity 20 having a curved surface- shaped angle and ridgeline section at the proper temperature for orientation.
