Title:
IMAGE RECEIVING ELEMENT FOR THERMAL TRANSFER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6019138
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To control fog, to provide high maximum density, and to prevent retransfer by using polycarbonate contg. a plasticizer as the material of an image receiving layer.

CONSTITUTION: Polycarbonate contg. a plasticizer is used as the material of an image receiving layer. Polycarbonate has low receptivity to a dye to be transferred, yet by adding a plasticizer such as dibutyl phthalate, sufficiently high transfer density is provided, and retransfer can be controlled. The image receiving layer may be laminated on other support. A superior image receiving element for thermal transfer causing no fog can be obtd.
