1536026 Cutting apparatus GD SpA 27 Jan 1976 [7 March 1975] 03006/76 Heading B4B An apparatus for producing shoulders for cigarette packets comprises feed rollers 18, 19 and back-up rollers 14, 15 of which at least one of the feed or back-up rollers includes a sleeve 20 of resiliently yieldable material and a peripheral outer metallic shell. The rollers are mounted on shafts 8, 11 whose separation is adjustable by eccentric bushes 8. Cutting and indenting discs 12, 13 are mounted on the shaft 11 for co-operation with respective back-up rollers 16, 17 on the shaft 8. The shafts are synchronized by gearing 9, 91 , 10 and driven intermittently to enable shearing of shoulders (1), Fig. 3 (not shown), from the tape.
