Title:
NUMERICALLY CONTROLLED WORK SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5935203
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten a work path by setting a work starting point according to the shape of a work, and moving a tool to the work starting point along the shortest specific path. CONSTITUTION:Four rough work paths l1-l4 are set for a virtual column 24 having a radius equal to the maximum diameter (r) of the work 12. Further, work starting points of those respective rough work paths are set at points Q1-Q4 where the rough work paths and the external diameter 26 of the work 12 cross with each other. Further, the tool is moved from a work origin Q0 to a starting point Q1 at the shortest specific distance m4, and moved to the rough work paths l1-l4 along the shortest specific path, i.e. in a Z-axis direction and then along the path perpendicular to the Z axis. Thus, the work path is shortened.
