PURPOSE: To provide a selective gas permeable membrane enhanced in permeating ratio for O2 to N2 and gas permeable characteristics, obtained by inserting a high polymer membrane high in coefficient of gas separation between silicone polymer membranes excellent in gas permeability and film forming property.
CONSTITUTION: A membrane is formed from a copolymer comprising polyhydroxystyrene-polysulfone-polydimethylsiloxane (PHS-PS-PDMS) excellent in film forming property and gas permeability or a copolymer comprising phenolic resin- PS-PSMS. Between two these high molecular membranes 4, 4', a membrane 5 comprising a polymer high in gas separability such as polyphenylene oxide shown by the formula (wherein m is an integer of 1, 2, 3, R1 is an alkyl group or a phenyl group) is sandwiched.
