Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:An acetic acid amide derivative shown by the formula I (R1 is H, lower alkyl, or halogen; R2 is H, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, or halogen; R3 is H, lower alkyl, or halogen; R4 is lower alkyl; R5 is H, lower alkyl, or halogen; X is O, or S).

EXAMPLE: N-(α,α-Dimethylbenzyl)-2-(1,2-benzisooxazol-3-yl)acetamide.

USE: A herbicide. Controlling selectively cyperaceous and gramineous weeds, and yet has no phytotoxicity to paddy rice plants and broad-leaved crops.

PREPARATION: An acetic acid derivative shown by the formula II is reacted with a benzylamine derivative shown by the formula III in the presence of a condensation agent such as dicyclohexylcarbodiimide to give a compound shown by the formula I .
