Title:
ROTATING ELECTRIC MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0739110
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prolong the life by arranging parts of electric components between the radial-direction external end of a fan and the outlet of the fan, and making the electric components endurable against a large thermal load.

CONSTITUTION: A cooling wind Wi blown out from a centrifugal fan 6 hits the cylindrically extended part 71a of a cooling fin 71 at high speed, and cools it strongly. In an electric component chamber, the cooling wind Wi passes through the gaps between the radial-direction inner end of a commutating device 7 and the radial-direction external ends of brushes in the axial direction. Since cooling fins 70 and 71 are not extended to this area, ventilation resistance is lowered. Especially, the cooling property of the commutating device 7 at the time of low-speed rotation is enhanced. As the result of this, it becomes possible to make electric components endurable to a large thermal load, and to prolong the life.
