Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating an organic waste wherein the organic waste is detoxified at a high speed at a low cost by a simple operation and an effective component in a treated liquid can be recycled. SOLUTION: A method for treating organic waste comprises a decomposing process wherein a specified ratio of a treatment liquid V containing an oil- and-fat degrading fungus and mixed fungi synchronously cultivated with the former and an organic waste as a liquid H to be treated containing a high concentration of oil and fat are mixed and shearing jets constituted by two jets intersecting each other are utilized so that a polymer such as oil, fat or the like is decomposed into a low molecular compound by an enzyme secreted by the oil-and-fat decomposed fungus and a fermentation process wherein the liquid to be treated containing the low molecular compound is supplied to water W including a large number of ascending fine bubbles and the low molecular compound is decomposed into carbon dioxide, water and the like by aerobic respiration of the fungus and oxidation by oxygen in the bubbles. A treatment apparatus 1 including a culture device 10, a decomposition device 20 and a fermentation device 40 for executing the method is also provided.
