PURPOSE: To obtain an optical disk which has a large signal recording capacity and with which reproduced signals having good characteristics are obtainable and a process for producing this optical disk.
CONSTITUTION: Rugged patterns meeting first and second signals are respectively formed on one surface side and another surface side of a substrate and first and second reflection film layers are respectively formed on the one surface and another surface of this substrate. As a result, the optical disk having the capacity two-fold the capacity of the conventional optical disk is formed and the reproduced signals having the good signal characteristics with decreased noises are obtd. The optical disk with which has the large signal recording capacity and with which the reproduced signals having the good signal characteristics are obtainable and the process for producing such optical disk are thus obtd.
