An inside rearview mirror (20) for automotive vehicles, the mirror (20) including a reflective element (36) having a full reflectance mode and a partial reflectance mode, and also incorporating means including a conveniently situated, manually actuatable electrical switch (K2) for indexing the reflective element (36) successively between the full reflective and partial reflective modes each time the switch (K2) is actuated.
