Abstract:
PURPOSE:To engage/disengage a lock-up clutch in accordance to the travelling state of car, by providing a lock-up release section producing a signal for releasing the direct-coupled clutch forcefully upon increase of accelerator opening speed above predetermined level. CONSTITUTION:A signal S2 from an accelerator opening sensor 21 is inputted through a differentiator 25 to a comparator 26 as a differentiated output S2. When the accelerator opening speed exceeds over predetermined level and the differentiated output S2' exceeds over the referential signal Vr, the comparator 26 will produce ''0'' signal. Said signal S2' is also inputted to the comparator 28 to produce ''1'' signal upon opening of the accelerator and after elapsing predetermined time (t), one-shot multivibrator 29 will return the output to ''0''. In other word, from stepping of the accelerator to predetermined time (t) later, the output from OR gate 27 is brought to ''0'' and if the output from the comparator 26 is ''0'' the output from AND gate 23 will be ''0'' to de-energize a solenoid 19 thus to release a lock-up clutch.
