Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a loud alarm sound by providing a wear indicator to a splash guard to resonate the sound, which is made by the wear indicator when contacting with the rotating face of a disk, with the splash guard. CONSTITUTION:A splash guard 5 for preventing the side face of a disk 1 from sticking of rainwater or mud is provided. This splash guard 5 can become a resonator made of sheet metal. A wear indicator 6 is fixed to the splash guard 5 at its clamp portion 6a. The nose of this wear indicator 6 forms an indicator section 6d through a resonator section 6b. And the wear of a pad 3 causes the indicator 6d to contact with the disk 1 by a pad backing plate 7. This sound made by the contact may be resonated through the resonator section 6b and the splash guard 5 to increase its volume.
