Title:
MAGNETIC INK RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5828386
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an image having a satisfactory linearity by providing an electrode for deflecting magnetic ink and means for generating an electric field responsive to the moved distance of a recording sheet at the electrode between a stylus electrode and the sheet.

CONSTITUTION: When a high voltage pulse of a selection signal is applied to a stylus electrode 1 by a stylus electrode voltage applying circuit 10 and a high voltage pulse corresponding to the picture signal is simultaneously applied to an opposed electrode 2, magnetic ink 5 at the end of the electrode 1 is flown toward a recording sheet. Since a signal to be applied to a deflecting electrode 13 by a deflecting electrode control circuit 14 has a triangular waveform, the electric field intensity between the electrodes 13 linearly varies in response to the voltage to exhibit a triangular waveform, the horizontal force operating the flying magnetic ink 5 is initially 0, but large force is applied linearly as time goes. Accordingly, even if a recording is performed while the sheet 7 is moved continuously at an equal speed, the recorded dots 12 aligns on a linear line in a scanning direction, thereby obtaining an image having a satisfactory linearity.
