Abstract:
PURPOSE:To smooth the engagement of a clutch even if a driving shaft is rotated by combining a dog clutch with a friction clutch to form the clutch so that the comparatively small sized clutch can obtain large transmission torque. CONSTITUTION:When a driving shaft 1 is rotated, a shifter 6 is moved to the forward end of an output shaft 2 so that the second friction surface 5a and the first friction surface 3a are engaged. At this time, a spline coupling 4 is kept at the same position by action of a spring 12. When torque is transmitted from the moving clutch member 5 to the output shaft 2, due to the action of an engaged inside hole 5c and a leading spline of the outer peripheral portion 4c, the spline coupling 4 overpowers the action of the spring 12 so as to move to the forward end of the output shaft 2. Subsequently, the second clutch click 4b and the first clutch click 3b are engaged to obtain large transmission torque.
