PURPOSE: To perform complete dust collection continuously, by acraping up paper dust deposited on the surface of paper by means of a revolving round brush and blowing up remaining paper dust by means of an air nozzle, for collection by a blower.

CONSTITUTION: Round brushes 16, 17 which rotate in a direction opposite to flow of paper, are brought in contact with paper for scraping up of paper dust deposited on the paper. Air is blown to the paper under a hood through an air nozzle 15 having numerous small orifices arranged in parallel to float remaining paper dust. Residual paper dust is prevented from flowing out of the hood by means of a flat brush 23 provided on the paper outlet side and accumulated paper dust is suctioned up by a blower. The collector is equipped with an adjusting device having a brush which goes up and down to prevent leak of suctioned air through gaps between brush and paper formed by wear of round and flat brushes. It also has an adjusting mechanism to keep constant pressure of contact between paper and brush. In addition, exhaust air from dust collecting blower is reused as air for spraying nozzle and an additional air source is required.
