Title:
PRODUCTION OF LOWER OLEFIN USING ZEOLITE CATALYST MODIFIED WITH CALCIUM PHOSPHATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6115848
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound in high yield and selectivity, with improved catalytic life, suppressing the deposition of coke, by reacting methanol and dimethyl ether in the presence of a modified zeolite catalyst containing a Ca compound and a P compound.

CONSTITUTION: A lower olefin is produced by the reaction of methanol and/or dimethyl ether at 300W700°C, at a weight hour velocity of 0.1W20hr-1, preferably 1W10hr-1 under a total pressure of 0.1W100atm, preferably 0.5W10atm, in the presence of an aluminosilicate zeolite catalyst containing a Ca-containing compound and a P-containing compound. The amount of the Ca compound and the P compound in the catalyst is ≥0.7wt%, preferably ≥1.0wt% each, in terms of the element. The ratio of the above compounds in the modified zeolite is preferably 0.3W1.7 in terms of the Ca/P molar ratio. A remarkably improvement in the catalyst activity can be attained by mixing or supporting calcium phosphate in the catalytic composition.
