Title:
VIBRATION MONITOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5850434
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make an automatic ranging possible, by a method wherein a scanner, a variable amplification factor amplifier and a variable reference value comparator which are all controlled by a computer are provided.

CONSTITUTION: Outputs of vibration detectors 1 are applied to a computer 12 through amplifiers 7 in which amplification factors are set, the said amplification factors being selected on the basis of a command given by the computer 12, and through an A/D converter 11 in which the outputs applied are converted into digital quantities. The computer 12 operates the input based upon the amplification factor, and compares the operated result with the predetermined abnormal vibration level or with the defective level of detecting system. When the abnormality is detected, the computer displays an abnormal channel, and gives an alarm. A variable reference value comparator 10 compares the set reference value with the vibration level, and applies an signal when there is a difference. The computer repeats to increase or decrease the amplification factor until no output is applied from the comparator 10. Then, the vibration level is A/D converted based upon the amplification factor at the time so as to be able to read the vibration level which does not overflow. Besides, the fault conditions in the detecting system can be recognized by the value shown.
